Market Commentary 

Good afternoon. Well, we are back in the harvest swing once again. That was some much-needed precipitation though. Most needed it to get wheat planted, which hopefully there is a lot of that done this weekend.

It's been a busy few weeks in the fields! We've made a big jump on beans, and it’s crazy to think we’re not even at October 1st yet. The early beans coming in have been averaging around 50-55 bushels per acre with moisture levels right around that 10% mark.

We have seen more harvest progress this week, but some are running out of beans that are ready. From what I have gathered many folks are pleased with the yields of the early beans being in the mid 50’s.

We have been seeing some new crop beans trickling into the Upper Sandusky elevator this week along with more old crop corn and beans as people are trying to clear out the bins for fall harvest.

Good afternoon. It was another rainless week here in central Ohio, but we did get a reprieve from last week's nasty heat. They say rain is coming tonight, but I’m not holding my breath.

Good afternoon. I can’t believe it’s the end of yet another week. Rains seemed to be scattered at best this week. I heard reports from some of 2+ inches, while others got just trace amounts.

It's a new month, and we are seeing green on the screen, even though StoneX came out with yield estimates that are higher than USDA’s numbers. There have been trouble spots in the corn belt, but their survey says that the rest of the corn belt is making up for it.
