Heritage Cooperative awards scholarships to Ohio State students
DELAWARE, Ohio – For the ninth consecutive year, Heritage Cooperative has awarded two, $2,000 scholarships to students enrolled in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University.
Since 2012, Heritage has awarded more than $36,000 in scholarships and is honored to continue the program for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Heritage Cooperative scholarship supports students transitioning from the Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) in Wooster who plan to further their education in the agricultural business program at The Ohio State University in Columbus.
“Heritage is committed to continuous improvement and these scholarships are a way to provide the future leaders of our industry a way to achieve their goals,” said Jeffrey Osentoski, president/CEO of Heritage.
The 2020-2021 scholarship recipients are Courtney Krieger of Wauseon and Thane Kaufman of Millersburg. Both students are studying agribusiness and applied economics and will graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State in spring 2022.
“We are proud to award these scholarships to Courtney and Thane,” said Osentoski. “Their efforts in school and dedication to agriculture sheds light on the bright future of our industry.”
