Member Ownership
Heritage Cooperative operates as a democratic organization, controlled by our members, who actively participate in setting our policies, making decisions, and electing representatives. Members have equal voting rights – one member, one vote.
Members also elect the cooperative’s board of directors, and any member can nominate a candidate for a director seat.
Annual Meeting
Heritage holds an annual meeting each year so members can review progress and performance of the cooperative for the past year, elect directors, present bylaw changes, vote on articles of incorporation and review future plans. It’s also a place where members can express their views to the board of directors, management, and employees.
